Operations Manager

One of the Canadian fish processing plants located in British Columbia is pleased to invite fish plant operations managers to join their team.  The program involves relocation to Canada under CUAET visas. 

Requirements for Managers:

• Previous experience in seafood processing or a related industry is highly desirable;
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce;
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities;
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines;
• Understanding of seafood processing techniques and quality control standards;
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food processing;
• Effective communication skills to liaise with different teams and stakeholders;
• Job-ready English.

Work Hours:

• 8 hours per day; 40 hours per week;

Wage:

• Competitive annual salary of CAD 120,000;

Duties:

• managing and overseeing a team on the day-to-day operations of the fish processing floor;
• hiring and training new employees for the fish processing team
• identifying staffing needs and coordinating the recruitment process to ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained;
• monitoring the processing operations;
• maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety throughout the processing workflow;
• ensuring a steady supply of fish and coordinating with supervisors and partners for further processing and distribution;
• tracking team’s performance to measure productivity and quality standards;
• analyzing data regularly and providing feedback to staff for continuous improvement and achieving production targets.
