Alberta Advantage Immigration Program – what it is

• English test (IELTS or CELPIP) with a score of 4 or higher;
• education level must be evaluated in Canada;
• an additional requirement is the availability of substantial funds to set up a business in the province, establish a company, buy a part of a business, etc.;
• writing and submitting a detailed business plan or experience in running a successful business.

To hire an employee from abroad, employers must meet several requirements of the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program:

• The company must be registered, legally operating for 2 years or more, and paying a certain level of taxes.
