Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship: 2024 intake

On 21 May 2024, a selection process will be held to apply for permanent residency in Canada under the Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship programme. It is expected that 35,700 potential sponsors will receive invitations for parents and grandparents to receive PR status in Canada. Consequently, the IRCC expects to receive 20,500 complete applications.

On 17 April 2024, Nova Scotia suspended the acceptance of applications for PR status in Canada from the food services and accommodation sector.
