On 30 September 2024, new rules for submitting Expressions of Interest under the Alberta Provincial NomineeProgramme (AAIP) will come into effect. These applications will need to be submitted in order to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) to begin the process of becoming a permanent resident of Canada. As expected, the selection of potential applicants will be based on points.
MV Group’s immigration consultants in Canada are ready to provide registration and receipt of Expressions of Interest and Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for Ukrainians in Canada with CUAET visas who are ready to go through the process of obtaining permanent residence in Canada under the Alberta Provincial Nominee Program.
For the initial registration, you will need to provide general information about yourself. There is no need to rush to register, as the new system is fundamentally different from the previous one, where invitations for further immigration were given to the first to register. You can create only one profile to participate in the selection process. Submitting an Expression of Interest is completely free.
After successful registration, the applicant’s personal profile will be evaluated and points will be calculated for each category. After that, the applicants will be ranked according to the number of received points. This new selection system works similarly to Express Entry Canada, which is the federal system for selecting potential immigrants.
The ongoing selection process will allow a wide range of applicants to take advantage of the new rules. This system will introduce even more transparency, flexibility and accessibility for everyone who wants to become a permanent resident of Canada under the provincial nominee program of Alberta.
The new system will be available for registration on 30 September 2024 at 10 am. However, the first selections are scheduled for the second half of October. Confirmation of expressions of interest will be provided to applicants in accordance with the needs of the labour market in the province of Alberta. Selections will be held in different streams for representatives of different occupations.
Points will be calculated on the following categories:
- Education
- Level of English (French) language
- Work experience
- Age
- Family ties to Alberta
- Job Offer from an employer in Alberta
The total maximum number of points in the rating can be 100 points.
